Grown in the lush volcanic valleys surrounding the city of Antigua, our Guatemala coffee beans represent the very best of Central America’s coffee legacy. This exceptional single origin is made from handpicked Caturra, Bourbon, and Typica Arabica varietals, cultivated at 1,650 metres and enriched by the nutrient-rich soils of three iconic volcanoes: Agua, Fuego, and Acatenango.

With a beautifully balanced profile, this washed Arabica delivers soft notes of blackberries and chocolate, wrapped in a smooth, full body. Roasted to bring out its elegant sweetness and gentle acidity, this is a refined, easy-drinking coffee that truly reflects the spirit of its origin.

Whether enjoyed as a sweet espresso or a mellow filter coffee, it offers a chocolatey richness that pairs perfectly with milk-based drinks like cappuccinos and flat whites. It’s an everyday luxury, designed to bring depth and comfort to every cup.

Guatemala Coffee History

Coffee production began in Guatemala in the 1850s, and the country quickly became one of the most respected coffee producers in the world. With high altitudes, fertile volcanic soils, and a climate that combines sun and rainfall in ideal measure, Guatemala has long held a reputation for producing some of the most complex and flavourful coffees in Central America.

Guatemala Antigua Coffee

The Antigua coffee region is one of Guatemala’s most famous growing areas. Nestled between three volcanoes, it benefits from mineral-rich soil, stable temperatures, and cool nights that slow the maturation of the coffee cherries. These conditions develop deeper flavour and complexity in the cup. Guatemala Antigua coffee is recognised for its consistent quality and balance, often exhibiting sweet, chocolatey flavours with a soft fruit tone.

Guatemalan Coffee Flavour Profile

Expect a smooth and full-bodied cup with layers of cocoa, ripe berries, and a refined, natural sweetness. Guatemalan coffees are known for their rich chocolate notes, low to medium acidity, and velvety mouthfeel. When brewed as espresso, this coffee delivers a harmonious mix of depth and clarity. In milk, it becomes soft and creamy, without losing its distinct fruit-chocolate character.
